Global retailers get set to go India

Waiting for the approval of the FDI from the government, American luxury store chain Saks Fifth Avenue, South Korea’s Lotte electronics retailing, Thailand’s retail and real estate major Central Group, Department store Myer of Australia, and Spanish retailer El Corte Ingles, among other global retailers, have started their plans to expand their presence at India plan level, to get a share in the US$700 billion retail market. Wal-Mart, Carrefour, and Tesco have entered India, but are waiting for FDI to make the big moves. This will surely bring a swift development in the retail sector with which the signage companies involving in it will subsequently get chance to harvest big business.
