Contra Vision has announced that its founder Roland Hill is transitioning from Chairman to Non-Executive Director and Founder. Roger Hill will assume the role of Chairman while continuing as Chief Executive Officer. Roland founded Contra Vision in 1985 and served as Managing Director from 1985 to 2013 and as Chairman from 2013 to 2026. He created the first commercially viable one-way vision graphics technology, underpinned by more than 20 patented inventions, enabling images to appear on one side of a window while maintaining visibility from the other. His innovations have been applied to advertising, transport, retail and architectural applications.
Roland Hill said: “It has been an honour to lead Contra Vision and see the business grow from an idea into a global brand. I am proud that my legacy will remain as Contra Vision, and I am excited to see the next stage of the company’s development. I look forward to continuing to support the business in my new capacity as Non-Executive Director.” Roger Hill said: “Roland did not simply invent a product, he created an entire global industry. His work has not only shaped Contra Vision into a globally recognised brand but has also defined and influenced the industry as we know it today. As we enter a new financial year following record sales performance, we are excited about the opportunities ahead.” Roland Hill has been nominated for the Outstanding Contribution Award at the annual Print Industry Awards, with winners to be announced in September.
