Cited as a ‘celebration of creative evolution, the recent DIGITAL G-O-D art exhibition in Amsterdam brought together a diverse group of 20 global artists to explore the intersection of cutting-edge digital technologies in their artwork, including 2D UV Printing, 3D printing, digital plotting and photogrammetry. Supported by MIMAKI Europe, the event featured over 50 2D and 3D artworks, all created using MIMAKI technologies. The piece, entitled ‘Weight of the World’ Didier, by artist Jaba Mathieus, was printed on vinyly with UV ink, using MIMAKI’s JFX200 UV flatbed printer
The show – an initiative of METAMO (Singapore) and Mama Magnet (NL/SG) – builds on a previous Singapore exhibition, including a number of new works from local Dutch artists. Many of these pieces were created using Mimaki’s high-end equipment, including the full-colour 3DUJ-553 3D printer and the JFX200 UV flatbed printer. METAMO Industries is a collective of skilled artists whose work experiences ‘spans the upper echelon of the creative industries from high end visual effects, digital art, immersive media and audio production’. With a specialty in using real-time technology to supercharge the production process, Metamo thrives in developing dynamic audio-visual experiences for a wide range of applications and installations that transcend traditional media capabilities.
