Footwear manufacturer and retailer Bata India is planning to spend Rs.150-200 crore in the next three years to open new large renovate existing ones. This fiscal, the company plans to open around 70 large format stores, which would be focusing on large formats only in the future. The company at present has more than 1,250 retail stores. Sign-makers and display producers will also get new business opportunity as these renovated large-format Bata stores will offer a corner to exploit for the signage players.
