Global giant retailer Wal-Mart plans to launch more ‘big box’ wholesale outlets in India as the global retail giant has opened its second wholesale store in Chandigarh after entering the Indian retail market last May as part of an international expansion. The company plans to open at least 10 more wholesale stores in the next three to four years. Wal-Mart is seeking to build a partnership with 15 million family-run stores making up 95 percent of India’s retail landscape. A big rejoice in such mega expansion move of the global giant is for the signage industry too as in-store media companies, sign suppliers and print providers could mint a new business out of it.
