V-Mart Retail to invest Rs 115 cr for 60 new stores

Fashion and lifestyle products retailer V-Mart Retail is planning to hire 2,000 people and invest Rs 115 crore to expand its retail footprint. The retailer mainly operates in tier-II and III cities and it is planning to add around 60 new stores, targeting to make the current total store count 275. V-Mart has already opened 20 new stores this fiscal and now operates 233 outlets across the country. The company plans to open new stores in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and North-Eastern States, besides MP and Rajasthan. V-Mart opened its first store in 2004 in Ahmedabad and now it has presence in 18 states. Such retail footprint expansion plan of V-Mart Retail is an added business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in in-store graphics and branding.
