MIMAKI UCJV300-160 RTR and 3DUJ-553 3D printer recognised with EDP Awards 2018

MIMAKI at the recent FESPA 2018 at Messe Berlin in Germany reported to have bagged two European Digital Press Association (EDP) 2018 ‘Best In Class’ Awards for its UCJV300-160 roll-to-roll printer and 3DUJ-553 full-colour 3D printer. The new UCJV300 Series printers, which includes the UCJV300-160, EDP recognized as the best roll-to-roll printer up to 170 cm, offer in-line cutting capabilities and feature layered print technology, such as four-layer and five-layer for transitional or double facing images. Prints are instantly-cured at even the highest production speeds, allowing customers to quickly print and immediately move to the finished product.

Mimaki 3DUJ-553 3D printer was recognized as the best 3D additive full-colour printer by the EDP. It is unique in its colour capabilities, with the ability to produce more than 10 million colours in layers as fine as 19 microns. The printer’s water-soluble support material can be easily washed off when the object has been produced, saving time and reducing the possibility of damaging the object when support material is removed. The availability of clear ink adds an extra dimension to printed pieces for an enhanced appearance.
