Google plans to open brick-and-mortar stores in India

Google is preparing to open brick-and-mortar stores in India to shore up sales of its Pixel smartphones in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets for the devices where the tech giant is lagging behind competition.  The company may roll out the stores in the latter part of 2018.  The company is said to have been encouraged by the response to more than a dozen pop-up stores in recent weeks that it opened in malls across India, including High Street Phoenix in Mumbai, and Select Citywalk, Promenade, Mall of India in Delhi-NCR to showcase Pixel 2 phones and educate consumers on its features. Signage companies with their jobs involving projects in the retail domain, such as in-store branding, designing and graphics, may get new boost in business with Google coming up with brick-and-mortar stores in India.
