Woodland plans to open 50 more stores in FY18

As on today, India is the second largest footwear producer in the world, with footwear production accounting for approximately nine per cent of the global annual production – 22 billion pairs as compared to China, which produces over 60 per cent of the global production. Tapping the unlocked potential in Indian market, Woodland entered India in 1992 when the Indian footwear market was largely unorganized and soon became a recognizable name in the adventure and outdoor segment in India. Sensing this potential, Woodland is planning is open 50 more new stores in the FY18, majority of which will be in Tier I, II and III cities. Signage firms having good knack in in-store displays, branding and such tasks may get a fresh business opportunity through woodland’s store expansion plan.
