India to soon open OnePlus experience stores

OnePlus, one of the premium Chinese smartphone brands, is now fully geared up to unveil experience stores next year in India, while it expects to start local manufacturing too. The smartphone maker is setting up its first global experience store in the country as it feels consumers prefer to ‘touch and feel’ before purchase. Further, OnePlus plans to expand the number of experience stores next year, based on success of the maiden outlet, while it expects to start local manufacturing of the latest model, OnePlus3, through Foxconn from the next quarter, according to a source from the company. The proposed experience outlet will be spread over 14,000 sq ft in Bengaluru and will only offer experience facility for consumers. Emergence of such high-end outlets is, of course, an opportunity for the signage companies having engaged in in-store display systems, branding, designing, etc.
