Japanese retail major Muji, a part of Ryohin Keikaku, is coming to India next year. It will be a JV with Reliance Brands, a part of Reliance Industries. It has got approval from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board. This comes on the back of Japanese PM Shinzo Abe’s visit to India, marking the entry of the first Japanese retail brand into the country. Such new development in the retail domain will be an added business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities revolve around in-shop displays, designs and such related activities.
