Bata India, an undisputed market leader in the footwear category in India, is aiming to open 100 more stores in the country during the current year. The new stores of the company will be unveiled in both metros and smaller towns. As on today, Bata India boasts of around 1300 stores spread across 500 cities all over the country. On average, Bata stores in India are sized 1500-2000 sq ft, while the brands retails through multiple store formats: Family Concept stores, which target the lower and middle class consumers, while Flagship, City and Zeus Concept stores targets the upper-income segment of consumers. Signage companies engaging in exclusive in-shop branding, designs and related activities must tap such opportunity of Bata India expanding its footprints as new projects on in-shop signs, graphics and displays like to surface out of such expansion move.
