ShantaSriram to invest huge to construct shopping malls in and around Hyderabad

Signage players must set themselves to tap fresh projects as ShantaSriram Constructions has set to invest more than Rs 600 crore in projects for multiplex-cum shopping malls and housing in and around Hyderabad over the next 24 months. The funds will be raised through a combination of internal accruals as well as debt from banks and financial institutions. Two malls and multiplex projects will be completed as part of the eight new ventures alongside the residential venture. The closely held, Hyderabad-based company, which has built 5,000 homes over eight million sq ft is nursing plans to further expand in Bengaluru and enter neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. At present, it has finished a residential project in Bengaluru.
