Muthoot Exim, the precious metals division of Muthoot Pappachan Group (MPG), plans to open 20 Muthoot Gold Point centres across the country by financial year 2017. Muthoot Gold Point is a chain of retail outlets which buy scarp, old and used gold items directly from the customers. Muthoot Exim is the first player in the organised sector to venture into gold recycling segment. It has already launched two Muthoot Gold Point centres in Tamil Nadu. Gradual expansion plan of the company with the opening of the new Gold Point centres will be an added business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in in-shop branding, displays, designs and related activities.
