Bosch shifts focus to Asia-Pacific and plans robust retail presence in India

Home appliances major Bosch has shifted focus from the almost saturated West to emerging markets in Asia-Pacific, as  the company expects next phase of growth in the region with spotlight on India. BSH Household Appliances is a wholly owned subsidiary of BSH Bosch and Siemens Household Appliances Group of Germany. In January, Bosch bought out its equal joint venture partner Siemens and hence became the sole owner of BSH Household Appliances. The company has earmarked roughly Rs. 350 crore to set up facility in the next five years in India. And it boasts of 20 Siemens and 14 Bosch brand outlets, which the company is planning to expand gradually. Bosch’s strategic expansion move will bring in fresh business opportunity for signage players whose activities are involved in in-shop displays, designs, among others.
