Burger King plans to expand nationwide in phases after Delhi debut

Global fast food chain Burger King has planned its expansion across the country in phased manner after its recent Delhi debut. In the first phase, Burger King India will open 12 outlets this year, particularly in Delhi and Mumbai. The company’s game plan will be to open the restaurants within the next 60-90 days, and then they are going to pause. Even before Burger King India opened its first restaurant in Delhi, it had garnered about 1,200 pre-orders for its “whoppers” through eBay India. In fact, it has worked out a menu that has been developed to cater the Indian consumers. Such estimation for larger presence of big brands in the Indian market will bring in fresh business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in-shop designs, displays, etc.
