Blaupunkt India opens first brand shop in Kochi

Car infotainment and sound company Blaupunkt is eyeing a 25 per cent growth in its Indian business this year, thanks to revival signs in the auto sector. Last year, the company had garnered a sales revenue of Rs. 125 crore through its OEM and after sales market despite the slowdown hitting OEM sales. However, the company managed the situation by focusing on after sales service. The company has opened its first brand shop in India at Kochi, which offers the entire product portfolio. Referring to brand shops, he said it would not only provide a platform for Blaupunkt to display their entire range but be a part of the company’s retail expansion strategy to scale up distribution and reach across the country. Such boost in the retail domain will give signage players a fresh opportunity in projects for in-shop branding, displays and related tasks.
