Calvin Klein Watch and Jewellery, a JV between Calvin Klein Inc and Swatch Group, recently launched its jewellery collection in India. The company will first test the response of its jewellery collection in cities such as Delhi and Mumbai and will look at wider distribution in the second phase. Meanwhile, the company plans to strengthen its distribution network. Currently, it sells its watches through multi-brand retailers. They have an estimated 175 points-of-sale in the country, which it plans to increase to 250 in three years. Also, they are also eying expanding in Tier-II markets. Gradual expansion in the retail zone will bring in a fresh business opportunity for the signage players whose activities revolve around in-shop designs, displays and related jobs.
