UK’s leading shoemaker Clarks is planning to double its sales with the launch of over 15 more new stores across India by the end of January 2014. Clarks is present in India since 2011 through a joint venture with Kishore Biyani promoted Futures Group. The Indian subsidiary of the UK-based footwear major is known as Clarks Future Footwear Ltd. The company had last month entered the Gujarat market with launch of store in Vadodara. It plans to open five more stores in Gujarat by the end of 2013. Gradual expansion of the Clarks Footwear’s outlets across the country will bring in a new business opportunity which sign makers, branding firms and others can tap in the retail sector.
